Choose command and dictation engines
Open Settings → Voice & Dictation and assign the engine used for commands separately from the engine used for field transcription.
Test click-to-talk
Use the global microphone, wait for the listening state, speak one short command, and release or stop intentionally.
Dictate into supported fields
Use the field microphone in Chat, search, Files, Tasks, Extensions, Models, Skills, or Prompt Library, then review the text before submitting.
Use clarification and confirmation
Ambiguous projects, files, models, or actions should produce a choice or confirmation instead of a silent guess.
Cancel safely
Press Escape or use the visible cancel action. Voice is not always listening and does not continue in the background.
