A context package is a focused bundle of project information prepared for the next model, person, tool, or session.
What belongs in the package
A practical package usually includes:
- Goal: what the current step should accomplish.
- Brief: the facts and constraints that shape the work.
- Relevant files: only the artifacts needed for this step.
- Decisions: choices that should not be reopened without a reason.
- Open tasks: what remains unresolved.
- Expected output: format, quality bar, and destination.
What to leave out
Avoid automatically attaching the full chat history, every project file, old drafts that no longer matter, secrets, or unrelated client material.
Create a reusable profile
For repeated workflows, save a context profile. A website review profile may always include the brand brief, current page files, decision log, and acceptance checklist. A research profile may include the question, approved sources, known assumptions, and desired citation style.
Close the loop
After the work returns, capture the useful result as an artifact, update the decision trail, and note the next action. That is what makes the package reusable instead of disposable.
