What Project Map shows
Project Map is a visual view of the active project. It helps you see what exists, how items are related, what changed, and where attention is needed.
It is not only a progress chart. Each node represents a meaningful part of the project, such as a goal, task, file, decision, prompt, output, or dependency.

Read the node types
Goals
The outcome or milestone the project is moving toward.
Tasks
Work that is planned, active, blocked, or completed.
Files and artifacts
Source material and results connected to the project.
Decisions
Recorded choices that should not be rediscovered later.
Prompts and runs
Instructions and AI work tied to the project.
Dependencies
Items that must exist or be completed before other work can continue.
Keep the map useful
Record important decisions, attach outputs to the correct project, close completed tasks, and remove stale relationships when the project changes.
The map becomes more valuable when it reflects the current project rather than every temporary idea.
When the map looks incomplete
Missing file or output
Confirm the item belongs to the active project and is attached to project context when appropriate.
A relationship is unclear
Open the node inspector and review the source and destination items.
The view feels crowded
Switch modes or filter the map to the node types needed for the current question.
